You may have heard of, or even used, the Business Model Canvas from Strategyzer, but this canvas might be new to you.
Even though numerous CO₂‑mitigation technologies are being developed and deployed to protect our home [1], we are running out of time to keep our planet safe and healthy. We need stronger collaboration and more decisive action to embed a sustainability mindset into every aspect of our lives. With this in mind, I created the Life Cycle Assessment Canvas, inspired by the Business Model Canvas. My goal was to provide a one page follow-up template to design engineering students, product designers, lecturers, or anyone developing products to help them consider environmental impact from the start.
I hope this canvas encourages you to rethink your product or business before launching it. Soon, I’ll share a sample case study demonstrating how to use the template effectively.
Attach this Life Cycle Assessment Canvas to your Business Model Canvas to make your product or business more sustainable for our planet Earth.
